I saw him once or twice in the distant past but last July I heard his and his mate's distinctive cry and learned to recognize it. Since then I learned too to leave the shutters half open and go look at them when I heard them. Some days none of them come. At others I see him or her. Once I even saw them together on my clothes line. That's the shot I really want, so I'll keep an ear out
