An Urban Scene

סצינה עירונית

Night – a blanket of anonymity,
willing to gently cover
anyone venturing out
into the night

Street lamps – cut the dark,
ready to shroud
anyone passing
near them
in the night's light

Bars – sending
into the atmosphere
sporadic beats of music,
providing broken rhythms
through some of the doors
dotting sight

An artistic spirit
may come out of one,
at any moment,
fueled with bags
of creative energy,
ready to spout it out,
looking for an empty space
to fill with
whatever haunts their minds –

either a message,
a drawing,
a dream or nightmare
(or a poem…).
Come morning it will be
where it never before was,
catching a new eye,
igniting an imagination,
inspiring a fresh
message, drawing, dream,
nightmare (or poem),
to come out
into the hug of the
next night's light

למלא עם מה שרודף את רוחה –

הודעה,
ציור,
חלום או סיוט
(או פואמה…).
בבוא הבוקר
אלו יהיו שם,
תופסים עין חדשה,
מתניעים דמיון,
מעניקים השראה טרייה
לְהודעה, ציור, חלום,
סיוט (או פואמה) חדשים,
לצאת החוצה
אל חיבוק
