ופגשתי צמד יאוריות צעירות | and met a couple of young Egyptian Geese
פגשתי גם ברווז לא ידוע (לי) | also a duck (unknown to me)
כמוהם כבר פגשתי בעבר | the likes of which I have met in the past
התפלאתי לראות אווזים אפורים | I was surprised to see Greylag Geese
אותם לא פגשתי בביקור הקודם | of which I didn't meet last time
ולא התפלאתי למצוא ברבורים שחורים | and not so much to find black swans
גמישים כתמיד | as flexible as ever

My new habit lately is a 'walk in the park' down 'memory lane' (meaning – going through all the photos I ever snapped there). And here, I found two more, that always make me smile.
ההרגל החדש שאימצתי לי לאחרונה, זה 'טיול בפארק', ב'משעול הזיכרונות' (כלומר – בין התמונות מן העבר). והנה, מצאתי עוד שני צילומים, שתמיד מצליחים לגרום לי לחייך.
ואת זאת הספקתי לצלם השנה | and this one I managed this year

התגעגעתי | I've Missed Them
A visit at the park yesterday may not have offered new encounters
ביקור בפארק אתמול אולי לא הניב מפגשים חדשים
אבל פגשתי כמה מהמכונפים שאני אוהבת במיוחד | But I've met some of the birds I love most
כמו האווז, כמוהו לא פגשתי מאז אפריל 2018 like this goose, which I have not seen since April
שניסה לברוח ממני … that tried to get away from me
או זה, שגם כן התרחק | or this one, that also swam away
ועדיין שמחתי למצוא שניים מהם | but I was still happy to have met two of them

אין לי מושג איזה אווז זה | I have no idea what goose this is
אף לא למה נדמה לי המלכותי מכולם | nor why it seems to me the most regal of all
אך ככולם – גם הם שומרים על האפרוחים | but like all, they too guard their young
(ונאמר כי יתכן שהללו אווזים אפורים | And I'm told these might be Greylag Geese)

Whenever Life feels too much to me, whatever the reason, I try to find time to walk to the park. Something there always manages to make me Smile. Like these geese.
