Almost exactly two years ago I first spotted the first roof-cat (above). Unfortunately, the hedge down there (branches of which already cut this photo) grew wild and blocked my view of that back yard, until lately. That's how I lost touch with the original roof cat, which it seems has moved on to different scenes, along with her black-and-white male-friend (another known roof cat, though I hardly ever photographed him on the roof). I miss them both.

כמעט בדיוק לפני שנתיים קלטתי לראשונה את חתולת הגג הראשונה (לעיל). לצערי, הגדר החיה למטה (ענפים ממנה כבר חתכו בתמונה זו) צמחה פרא והסתירה לי את הגינה הזו, עד לאחרונה. וכך איבדתי קשר עם חתולת הגג המקורית, אשר כפי הנראה עברה למחוזות זרים, יחד עם החבר השחור-לבן שלה (עוד חתול גג ידוע, אם כי אותו כמעט ולא צילמתי על הגג). אני מתגעגעת לשניהם.

Since then, there were more, but I only posted one of them to the blog.

By the way, a smarter cat than others, to my opinion. During hotter days she used to come up to rest, and nap in the shade of the solar panel of the neighbors' sun-heated water tank. Thus the cat enjoyed a mix of the heat of the day and the shade. From there she spotted me, sitting on breaks by the window, basking myself in the sun and reading a book. She seems to have grasped that I have no negative intentions, and/or no ability to harm her, while closed in my apartment. Therefore she ignores me completely and doesn't mind at all that I am there.

אגב, חתולה חכמה יותר מאחרות ואחרים, לדעתי. בימים חמים יותר נהגה לעלות לגג למנוחה ולנמנם בצלו של קולטן השמש של הדוד של השכנים. כך החתולה נהנתה משילוב של חוֹם היום וצל גם יחד. ומשם קלטה אותי יושבת בהפסקות ליד החלון, סופגת חום-שמש בעצמי וקוראת ספר. והבינה היטב כי אין לי כוונות שליליות, ו/או שאין לי שום יכולת להזיק לה, בעודי סגורה בדירתי. על-כן מתעלמת ממני לגמרי וממש לא אכפת לה שאני שם.

Normally I don't recommend other's posts, but I found this one wonderfully funny.
(especially for cat lovers, but maybe others will at least smile).

בדרך-כלל, אני לא נוהגת להמליץ על פוסטים של אחרים, אבל הפעם נתקלתי בפוסט מצחיק להפליא.
