I've already mentioned my lack of liking of flat statues. But about this next one, I'm not sure.

כבר ציינתי מספר פעמים את היעדר חיבתי לפסלים שטוחים. אבל לגבי הדבר הבא, אני לא סגורה.

מצד אחד – יכול להיות משעשע | On the one side – could be amusing

מצד שני – שטוח למדי | on the second – pretty flat

מצד שלישי – אפילו כמעט נעלם | on the third – almost disappearing

מצד רביעי – משתנה מכל צד | on the fourth – it changes from each side

ומצד חמישי – נוח, לציפורים | and on the fifth – comfortable, for birds

Despite my lack of sympathy to flat statues (as long as it is a sculpture, why not celebrate its' bulk?), at least this one is more stylized then the previous ones, isn't it?

על אף היעדר חיבתי אל פסלים שטוחים (אם כבר מדובר בפסל, למה לא לחגוג את נפחו?), לפחות הפסל לעיל מסוגנן יותר מקודמיו, הלא כן?

To Effect or Not to Effect

A few explanatory words: the Weekly Photo Challenge urging to Experiment, sent me to this corner of the Park, housing some statues* (that I don't really like much). After experimenting with the photography itself, I tried some of the camera options/effects (which I don't normally mess with).
And the above result? I actually like. The Dream/Fantasy atmosphere sort of (in my own mind) makes it okay that some trees are flat…
Below you can see the original photo. Which do you prefer?

מספר מילות הסבר ל-'אפקט או לא': אתגר הצילום השבועי המציע 'להתנסות', שלח אותי אל הפינה הזו בפארק, ביתם של מספר פסלים* (אשר לא ממש מוצאים חן בעיניי). לאחר שניסיתי צילומים שונים, התנסיתי גם בכמה מהאפשרויות/אפקטים המציעה המצלמה (איתם אני לא מתעסקת בדרך כלל).
והתוצאה לעיל? דווקא מוצאת חן בעיניי. אווירת החלום/פנטזיה (לדעתי האישית) הופכת את העובדה שכמה מן העצים שטוחים למעין בסדר…
